GIF series glass based interdigital filter
The GIF-series filter is a high-performance interdigital filter chip based on glass substrate semiconductor technology.
Utilizing an interdigital structure, it exhibits a slightly lower unloaded Q‑factor compared to SIW-based architectures but offers much more compact chip size. This makes it suitable for 5 GHz to 20 GHz low cost applications. The chip is provided in a Chip‑Scale Package (CSP), allowing users to directly mount it onto ceramic substrates or PCB boards via reflow soldering.
DWMicrowave currently offers four filter product series designed for different frequency bands and performance requirements. Among these, the ZeroGuide series is currently under development, while the rest are already in mass production. Their microwave performance and cost are detailed in the figure below.
As shown in the figure above, the GIF-series filters are suitable for low cost applications featuring low insertion loss.
Customized semiconductor process flow
Manufactured on semiconductor process, very high microwave performance consistency. Filters can be customized to meet specific user requirements
Excellent PIM performance
By replacing the nickel with non-magnetic metal, The DWMicrowave’s GIF series filters provide outstanding PIM performance, which is close to the waveguide filters.
